We go to a medical doctor when we are ill and to the dentist when we have a toothache, as well as regular check-ups when we are not ill or in pain. So why not see a mental health professional when life becomes stressful or when faced with a problem? Why not go in for a regular checkup as well? We go through several stages in life, such as marriage, parenthood, and retirement. We are faced with new obstacles at each stage. As a mental health professional, I can assist you in navigating these new stages and obstacles.

Life isn't always easy and our expectations of what our life should look like now, often doesn't meet our expectations. This is why I help couples, pre-marital couples and individuals in many life circumstances, such as infidelity, big traumas, small traumas, depression, anxiety, feelings like your not good enough, not worthy. If you want to grow and achieve your goals for your life I would be honored to help you. How you overcome these obstacles is what should define you, not the hurt. If you would like to live in the future not in the past, then I am the right therapist for you, your goals are my goals.

Your goals for your life are important to me, and getting you to where you want to be in life is where I can help. I am specially trained to help clients through the therapeutic process. Life is hard sometimes. The unexpected happens, but how you overcome these obstacles is what should define you, not the hurt or your past, but your future. One of my mottos is, "The path of healing is to look at ourselves and others with loving eyes-it isn't about being perfect" I have the experience to help you through your hardships regardless of what they may be non-judgementally, and at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Sometimes looking in the mirror is hard when the image looking back at you is not what you pictured. Our past hurts and traumas, broken relationships, unhealthy relationship with food, and painful relationship with our bodies leave us broken and weary. I believe that digging into those painful places brings healing, as well as learning how to move into the present. I use primarily a parts work or internal family systems approach, which is an effective model for trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, and many other areas where deep work is needed.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Psychoanalysis is an in-depth form of therapy. The client learns what conscious and unconscious wishes drive their patterns of thinking and behavior on the theory that, by making the unconscious conscious, they will make more educated choices over how they think and act.
