My goal is to help you understand and resolve emotional/behavioral distress brought on by: depression , anxiety, defiance, grief/loss, relationship problems, family conflict, and trauma.
I enjoy assisting individuals, couples, and families in recognizing their inherent potential, which can sometimes be overlooked when derailed by situations causing you emotional pain and suffering. I practice in a tranquil and calm environment and believe in the therapeutic power of caring, humor, open-mindedness, and empathy to promote trust, confidence, and healing. I trust that, by believing in our own self-worth, we become stronger, more resilient, and more willing to work towards positive life change. It is my mission to teach you the skills you will need in order to facilitate an effective and healthy process of personal and relational growth.

My training includes Certified Sex Addiction Therapist candidate, Brainspotting, EMDR, Family Systems Trauma (FST), & Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to treat trauma, PTSD, attachment, parent/child relationships, anxiety, & depression .
More bio on my website....In 2011, I graduated from seminary & worked as a youth pastor for 5 years. From the vantage point of a pastor, I saw the need for good, quality, professional therapy in people's lives. When you walk through the therapist’s door, you expect to be given the tools you need to accomplish change. Good therapy is more than “What do you want to talk about today?” You need to work with a therapist who has the right tools to dig deep and do some heavy lifting, and that is what I offer.

Understanding yourself, your personality structure, and the world around you is a great asset. It allows you to clearly articulate your values and to set a life-course oriented toward what brings you meaning and fulfillment. Often, clinical symptoms such as anxiety, depression , and personality difficulties can obscure a clear vision of our ideal path. Clinical psychology uses the scientific understanding of behavior and mental health difficulties as the basis for strategic guidance in helping you overcome clinical and life issues.

I use research backed treatments to help clients suffering from PTSD, depression , and anxiety.
First off, I think it's funny that I'm even a "psychotherapist". I reluctantly started going to counseling myself in college. Surprisingly, it changed my life for the better. I never would have guessed it! It was so beneficial, I ended up getting a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy...not necessarily as a career choice, but simply to continue my personal learning and growth. I've worked in several other career fields, but no other job has even come close to matching the satisfaction I get from helping people find freedom after experiencing some of their darkest times. Now it has become my passion!

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
