I work from the belief that people hold within themselves the ability to change. Often our greatest change comes at times of transition. Transitions -- be they of community, health, age, gender identity, or relationship origin -- present a need for careful decision-making and support. When confronted with hard challenges, many of us need someone simply to assist us in looking at our lives, recognizing our strengths and supports around us, and developing strategies to bring about the change we desire.

We can all heal and grow! Much of the time our growth is catalyzed by pain. We experience a loss or a significant stressor. We come up against trauma or blocks from our past. These periods of chaos and pain can also contain valuable resources. We can use them to create a life that makes us happier. We can become healthier people with better relationships. I use compassion and my 30+ years of experience with the latest methods to help you feel better, become more personally empowered and realize your goals. My focus is relief and solution oriented.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor currently practicing in Arkansas. I have experience working with diverse populations and enjoy meeting new people. To me each person’s story, health and emotions are unique. I work to tailor treatment plans to meet each client's individual needs. I work with people who find themselves overwhelmed and wanting to learn how to handle anxiety and depression. I also work with people who are struggling with life adjustments or past trauma by providing a safe place to explore symptoms that are keeping them from moving forward while developing skills that will support them later on.

I believe clients DESERVE to be treated fairly and honestly. I prefer to work with my clients to help them achieve the life of their choosing, not my choosing. We all have an idea of what we want in life and how we want our lives to be, "our ultimate goal". Many times in life we experience obstacles and challenges which can interfere with us reaching that goal and making the most out of life. We will work together to help you achieve "YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL"!!!

You’re capable, thoughtful, and self-aware — yet something still feels off. Maybe your relationships feel harder than they should. Maybe you feel emotionally exhausted, on edge, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you’re starting to notice how your upbringing, past experiences, or family dynamics shaped the way you show up in life — and you don’t love what you’re seeing.

You’ve been carrying so much—smiling through the pain, holding everyone else together while quietly falling apart inside. You’re tired of pretending you’re okay, overthinking everything, and feeling like peace is out of reach. I see you, because I understand. The anxiety, sadness, burnout, and emotional exhaustion are heavy—but they do not define you. Healing is not about pretending or pushing harder. It’s about deciding to stop surviving and start becoming whole again. My door is open. Let’s talk.

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately? Whether you’re navigating a major life shift (hello parenting!), healing from trauma, or just trying to get through the day without falling apart, therapy can be a safe space to catch your breath—and figure things out. I’m Kamryan (she/her), a Licensed Associate Counselor and EMDR-trained therapist who works with women, young adults, parents, etc. who are juggling way too much while carrying silent pain from the past. My style is warm, real, a little quirky—and totally judgment-free. We’ll laugh sometimes, cry when we need to, and always keep it human.

I am dedicated to providing a safe and confidential environment for patients to connect with self and address any issues that inhibit growth. I believe that healthy relationships with self and others will allow an individual to build a realistic picture of life and assist in moving through challenges. Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
