We can all heal and grow! Much of the time our growth is catalyzed by pain. We experience a loss or a significant stressor. We come up against trauma or blocks from our past. These periods of chaos and pain can also contain valuable resources. We can use them to create a life that makes us happier. We can become healthier people with better relationships. I use compassion and my 30+ years of experience with the latest methods to help you feel better, become more personally empowered and realize your goals. My focus is relief and solution oriented.

I believe clients DESERVE to be treated fairly and honestly. I prefer to work with my clients to help them achieve the life of their choosing, not my choosing. We all have an idea of what we want in life and how we want our lives to be, "our ultimate goal". Many times in life we experience obstacles and challenges which can interfere with us reaching that goal and making the most out of life. We will work together to help you achieve "YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL"!!!

As a sex therapist, I work at the intersection of sexuality, identity, and meaning. I’m not here to pathologize your sexuality or pull you into a trauma narrative. I’m here to explore what your present experience is telling you about who you are and what you want. I offer a grounded, honest space for adults who are navigating questions about identity, meaning, relationships, and the parts of their lives that no longer fit. My approach is straightforward: we slow down, look at what’s happening, and what’s true beneath the story or the performance.

Let's face it, life events shape our present, and contribute to a loss of connection to ourselves, family, others, and the world. A recovered sense-of-self is essential for empowerment to face these issues. And, because this disconnect initially occurs in earliest childhood, traditional "talk" therapy alone is an insufficient approach. I am a therapist shaped by a myriad of life roles and events. I intentionally sought a PhD in clinical psychology with a specialization in "somatic psychology" to underscore my own therapeutic experience. Somatic psychology studies how the "body" informs and provides clues to our emotional responses linked to childhood.

I work to build a relationship of deep empathy and connection with my clients in addition to aiding clients in building mindfulness skills for working with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, identity and meaning, body image, self esteem, relationship struggles, career transitions, grief, and interpersonal struggles. I am best for clients who want not only an empathetic ear, but also practical change and skill building to help you live according to your values. For couples, I focus on understanding each other's patterns of conflict, attachment styles, and where communication goes sideways.

A depth approach explores the unconscious, and transpersonal aspects of human experience.
I offer a spiritual approach to therapy where the client is seen through a deep holistic lens. I have a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology. I am a trained therapist (LCSW) and a hypnotherapist focused on past life soul regression and shadow and dream work. I specialize in mindfulness, helping individuals in the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression, and gender issues. Dr. Weiss clinically trainned me in Past Lives Regression to address trauma and phobias. Meet Subconcios Shadows is a technique developed by Dr. Cai Carvalhaes in which the clients are taken to meet their shadows, find their allies, and integrate them during hypnotherapy.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
