Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, a challenging relationship, or feeling stuck in a way you just don’t know how to explain? Does it affect your day-to-day life, relationships, ability to function, your work, or career? Do you feel emotionally exhausted or overwhelmed by what it means to live up to someone else’s standards, just getting through the day, answering emails, texts or calls, the thought that there’s no light at the end of the tunnel? Do you wonder if life could ever be better? Maybe you have recognized you have been using a substance just to try to ease the emotional pain and relax?

If we can't change your perspective, let's try changing your situation. We'll process cycles of emotional and behavioral problems in an effort to lead lives that are happier and more fulfilling. At the end of therapy, our goal is to reduce the impact of previous and on-going negative influences on your life.

Our brains our powerful and unique, but often store unfinished business and unprocessed trauma which leaves emotional scars inside or even physical pain. One of the most powerful forces on earth comes from our relationships. Relationships provide a way for us to connect with others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When our relationships suffer, we are often deprived of the powerful force of human connection. Finding our way back to relationships and the connection they provide may seem difficult. Counseling provides a therapeutic relationship of human connection to build a bridge back to the relationships that are most meaningful for us. Stepping into something new like counseling when our relationships are broken can feel overwhelming.

I work primarily with adults facing anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, men's issues, problematic sexual behavior, pornography addiction, and concerns related to faith and spirituality.
Many people spend years appearing strong while quietly carrying burdens they rarely discuss with anyone. On the outside, life may look successful. On the inside, anxiety, loneliness, grief, unhealthy patterns, or major life transitions can leave you feeling exhausted and stuck. Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and move toward meaningful change. Together, we'll work to help you develop greater self-awareness, deeper connections, and the ability to live with more peace, purpose, and self-respect.

Life often feels like a series of reactions to stress and old patterns rather than a purposeful journey. I help people clear that internal noise to regain grounded authority over their own lives. My approach is collaborative and direct. While I provide clinical expertise, I believe in speaking plainly about where you are and where you want to be. Whether you’re navigating a career transition, managing anxiety, or building resilience, we will focus on practical tools—not just talking in circles.

Bio video on my website...When you pay for therapy, you're expecting something of tangible value. All too often what you get instead is a nice person on a couch and little else. That’s not me. With high energy and humor, I help people recover from sexual addiction; I help couples lost in conflict and hopelessness; and I help parents with teens and young adults. I work with sexual abuse, attachment wounds, and traumas/PTSD of all kinds. I am a Christian, and I approach therapy from a clinical perspective. We can integrate your faith as much as you feel comfortable, or not at all.

Crying is okay. Emotions are okay. It is okay to feel. If you do not like where you are mentally, spiritually, or emotionally then you do not have to stay in that place of misery or despair. When a bone is broken or a ligament is torn, we seek medical support for physical healing. When feeling overwhelmed in a heartless world, lonely in a room full of people, struggling to sleep due to dreams of unforgettable events, or avoiding smells, sounds, or places because it forces you to relive dreaded moments. In those moments who do you find for support? With support, you will find inner peace, strength, and a better version of yourself.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
