Hey there, I'm Nikki! You may be an adult navigating major life transitions—questioning or deconstructing religious beliefs, coming out as LGBTQIA+, or transitioning from monogamy to polyamory or other forms of consensual non-monogamy. You may feel relief and freedom alongside grief, anxiety, or uncertainty. You’re seeking support with identity exploration, relationship changes, and rebuilding self-trust while creating a life aligned with your values. Therapy can be a place to slow down, listen to yourself more closely, and find steadiness while everything feels in flux.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship patterns that leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. You want to understand why things feel the way they do, feel more emotionally steady, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet frustrated that insight alone hasn’t brought the relief or change they’re hoping for.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in patterns you don’t understand. Maybe you’re quick to react, hard on yourself, or tired of carrying emotions that feel too big or too confusing. You want to feel more connected, and more at peace, with your past, your body, your relationships, and your identity. You’re seeking a space that feels safe, affirming, and spacious enough to hold all of you, especially the parts that feel tender, guarded, or unseen. You are ready slow down so you can tune into your nervous system, understand your emotional patterns, and learn how to live with intention.

I see therapy as a journey, a journey to the most authentic, free, healed version of the Self. I work with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting, self-esteem, identity, transition, infertility, adoption considerations, trauma, immigration, embodiment and more. I have a special interest in working with individuals who are not themselves suffering from serious mental illness but who are impacted by the SMI of loved ones. Other mamas are my jam! Dads too. Parenting is hard. Ultimately, I tailor my approach to the needs of the individual client. I will meet you where you are.

The mind and body are undeniably connected. I believe in taking the time to notice what our body is telling us. If you experience unpleasant symptoms and issues in your life, this is likely a sign that something is hiding in your mind. You and I will locate where it hides, bring awareness to it, and then learn how to find relief and grow. This is where the healing begins. I support individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges, whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life transitions.

Finding a therapist is like dating. You need to try out a few people to see what works best for you. It's not just the vibe or style of the therapist, but the support staff, the convenience of scheduling, and ability to get your needs met that makes or break the therapeutic relationship. We offer extended times throughout the evening to make appointments more convenient for busy professionals and families. We take a holistic approach to therapy where we connect people to their bodies and to other support systems to improve functioning in all areas of life.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
