Many of the clients Sav works with carry the weight of painful or overwhelming past experiences. They may feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Often, they’ve tried pushing through on their own but find themselves repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Her ideal client is ready to do the work of healing and creating change. They want to feel lighter, more grounded, and in control of their life, relationships, and emotions, and above all, to heal from what has happened so they can live with more peace, purpose, and hope.

I trust in the strength, bravery, and persistence of my clients to be able to work towards their goals - whatever they may be. I am a great fit for the person who needs an ally, a mirror, and nonjudgmental support. I prioritize helping clients discover the impact and power of self-acceptance and self-compassion. My clients may struggle to recover from anxiety, depression, OCD, and/or PTSD. My clients are men and women who struggle with the emotional impact of sex-related health disorders. They may have strained relationships and want to explore how to improve the sex/intimacy of their connections.

Life can hit hard. Stress and heartache can build over time or it can explode instantly into one big mess. Most of the time you can get through ok on your own but sometimes it's just too much to keep going solo. Worries, bad memories, feeling overwhelmed, kids/significant other driving you nuts, or wanting to just hide in bed can take over. Sometimes you need a friendly ear to help you figure out what happened and how to get out of the mess without feeling judged or looked down on. Someone who can help you feel like you again: happy, hopeful, confident, empowered!

When I consider the relationship between a therapist and a client, I want to offer a supportive and nonjudgmental setting to allow a client to address their personal challenges by exploring their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. While gradually exploring additional layers of their concerns to allow them to find a path to a more authentic and satisfying life. I want to provide empathy for clients while empowering them in ways to grow and achieve their goals. I want those seeking comfort and support with their concerns, such as difficulties within their relationships, life stresses, past hurts, depression, anxiety & grief.

I am currently offering virtual sessions across Arkansas.
Healing is not just about feeling better—it’s about coming home to yourself. I believe that within each of us is a deep, innate wisdom—a part that longs to be whole, free, and at peace. When trauma, addiction, or anxiety take root, they can disconnect us from that inner knowing, leaving us feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck in cycles that no longer serve us.

I am licensed to offer video sessions in Arkansas and Florida, and body-based work translates extremely well to video-based services!
Your story is unique, and you deserve a therapist who will honor your experience. You’ve likely had painful, tough experiences, and you've probably tried to forget them. But no matter how hard you try, they keeps coming back up- in your brain, in your body, in your relationships. Hard things will be thrown our way, that's a fact of life, but what has happened doesn’t have to weigh you down any longer. Part of being human is having struggles, but part of being human is overcoming those struggles and finding joy and freedom again. I want to help YOU find that freedom!

As a marriage and family therapist, my hope is to help each couple and family to overcome the unique struggles that they face. I want to help everyone recognize and appreciate the valuable qualities that each person contributes to the relationship. Also, for them to understand how their differences can be the building block in becoming a foundation of comfort, strength, and peace. I share these same aspirations for my individual clients as well, so they can reach their personal, relational, and life ambitions through achieving mental health and wellbeing.

FAQ - About Telehealth Therapy
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
Numerous studies suggest that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, further research is needed to determine if online therapy provides the same benefits across all client populations. Individuals with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or those who may benefit from in-person check-ins, like those with eating disorders, may not experience the same level of benefit from online therapy. Nonetheless, the success of online therapy, much like in-person therapy, often hinges on the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client rather than the specific modality of therapy used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of therapy conducted online?
One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience for both clients and therapists. It also allows clients who require specialized therapy to access a wider range of professionals than they could with only in-person sessions. Additionally, online therapy may be a more affordable option in some cases and often offers the same insurance benefits as in-person therapy. However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who value face-to-face interaction with a therapist. Therapists may find it more challenging to assess clients accurately in an online setting due to reduced nonverbal cues on camera. There is also the increased risk that disruptions caused by external factors, such as technology malfunctions, can hinder the therapy session. For these reasons, many therapists offer a "hybrid" therapeutic approach, alternating between seeing clients in-person and online.

Is online therapy suitable for children and adolescents?
Just like with adults, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy can greatly benefit children and adolescents. In fact, children and adolescents may be more accustomed to navigating online platforms than older adults, making online sessions feel more natural for them. Teens might also be interested in using additional online tools, such as therapist-recommended apps, as an adjunct to online therapy sessions. Apps for developing CBT skills, practicing mindfulness exercises, or tracking thoughts and moods can be helpful for teens receiving therapy. However, it's important to note that not all therapeutic modalities are well-suited to online therapy, especially those used with younger children. For example, play therapy, which helps younger children express their emotions, often requires in-person sessions to be fully effective.

Can I receive prescriptions and medication management with online therapy?
The ability for psychiatrists to prescribe medications through online therapy varies based on the medication and the states where the medical professional and client are located. While many prescribing regulations were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, some states still enforce rules, especially concerning controlled substances, which may mandate an in-person visit before prescribing. Generally, however, medical professionals can prescribe non-controlled substances through online therapy sessions just as they do during in-person sessions.
