I believe that people seek out counseling because they feel that they are lacking guidance and are struggling to make sense of the problem(s) or issue(s) they are experiencing. In other words, they feel “stuck”. Because of this, they are searching for a way to change, move forward, or process their own thoughts and feelings related to whatever is causing their problem. Each person has the option to take charge of their own narrative and change their current problems or circumstances or create a new life all together. Through the counseling process, I am able to help my clients accomplish that and move forward.

You’re successful, driven, likely the eldest daughter in your family of origin, & always striving for the next achievement—but beneath the surface, perfectionism, unresolved emotions, and past trauma can quietly take a toll.
I'm a trauma trained therapist & frequently use Brainspotting, EMDR, & somatic approaches to support women in identifying the roots of unwanted emotions. These tools can help you break free from the cycle of self-pressure, and reconnect with your authentic self.

I have a MSW from UALR with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My ideal client is someone who wants to be the best they can be for themselves and their circle of people. I want to help them find the best ways to cope with life's daily struggles while also accomplishing their goals. A client who is eager to work, grow, and learn. Clients that know their limitations and their strengths. I love to see clients learn new skills, reach new heights, whether that be graduating high school, getting their dream job, improving their romantic relationships, or being able to tackle something that previously scared them.

Her career passion areas include family preservation, suicide prevention, crisis intervention, queer community and gender identity.
My approach is that of unconditional positive regard, straight forward communication. I am not afraid of using accountability to get clients closer to their goals. I grew up in chaos which motivated me to understand psychology more. The reward is in seeing clients attain goals through hard work and our relationship.

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family.
“Your mental health matters—and you don’t have to journey alone.” Life can feel overwhelming—whether you’re navigating pain from the past, stress in the present, or uncertainty about the future. Sometimes, challenges come from within. Other times, they’re the result of what’s happened to us. Either way, you deserve support, healing, and hope. As a counselor, I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I walk alongside each client with empathy, honesty, and care—offering guidance that meets you where you are and helps you move toward where you want to be for healing, growth, and positivity.

Let's face it, life events shape our present, and contribute to a loss of connection to ourselves, family, others, and the world.
By combining traditional psychotherapy with various "body-based" techniques I specialized in "somatic psychotherapy," an effective holistic practice helping client needs ranging from trauma to common challenges of depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. I completed the Somatic Experiencing (SE) professional training to complement this practice.

Cash Only Fees: Session Fee: standard rate is $90 per 50-minute session (individual), 120 ( family).
For me, a client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—whether due to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the weight of life transitions. They may be highly functioning on the outside but silently struggling inside. They often carry unprocessed experiences that affect their confidence, emotional regulation, or relationships. They’re not necessarily sure what healing looks like, but they know they want more peace, clarity, and purpose. What they need is a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can be seen, heard, and challenged with compassion.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
