I believe that the foundation of meaningful therapy lies in authentic human connection. In our work together, I aim to create a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgement. By fostering this connection, we can uncover the root causes of your challenges and work collaboratively toward healing and growth. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies and mindfulness practices, with a focus on self-inquiry and personal wisdom. I draw inspiration from therapeutic models that emphasize the importance of relationships and self-awareness and the healing potential within.

I want to be a safe place and a refuge for my clients to feel free and open to discuss whatever is keeping them feeling stuck. My goal is to help them heal and overcome the difficulties that bring them into my office by being an ally, a supporter, and a trusted confidante. I believe the power of healing largely lies in the relationship a client, no matter their age, has with their therapist and I hold that responsibility very highly. I want my clients to feel heard, seen, and validated during our work together.

Are you a person who finds yourself caring deeply for others while you struggle to care about yourself? Maybe there's a frequent thought that you're not enough and you're always fearful that you are a burden to others. Do you avoid making decisions or taking risks because you fear that you’ll fail? You think even when something is a success that it is only a matter of time before it all falls apart. Do you struggle to believe that it’s possible to feel good about yourself? Do you want to feel that you are valued and have worth that allows you to establish the life that you imagine for yourself?

I believe that everyone has the ability to heal from trauma, and experience the beauty of personal growth from difficult life experiences. When we experience trauma and/or chronic stress, we often become disconnected from ourselves, from others, and from the world around us. Our work together can help you reconnect to yourself, improve interpersonal relationships and learn to be present in the moment. My goal is to help you become more resilient, so that you feel comfortable enough to process your past, and confident enough to navigate difficult life events.

I am in network with Ambetter through September 2025.
Overthinking and worst-case-scenario planning keep you distracted and irritable lately. You’re the go-to person for venting. You want to help, but you're getting resentful of the earfuls of TMI, and tired of being called selfish when you want some alone time. Or you’re bombarded with obsessive thoughts & fears of disaster, so you do or think certain things to prevent that disaster. Checking lights and plugs so long you're late for work- to keep your house from burning. Washing your hands raw- to prevent spreading some disease you may have gotten from a doorknob that will kill your family if you don't wash enough. Etc!

Understanding the world around you can be challenging, especially when faced with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or general life stress. Children, teens, and young adults may have even more of a challenge if they are still learning about themselves or have experienced stressors beyond their control. Learning skills to overcome these stressors or wanting to create a deeper understanding of the self are two reasons young adults or parents (of children in need) may seek out therapy.

Just by reading this, you are showing your strength and courage to take the first step to speak with a therapist. For many people, it is a scary step to make and keep a counseling appointment. People often worry and wonder things like, what will counseling be like, what will the therapist ask me, and will therapy really help me? When I meet you, I will commend you for your courage to come to counseling and we will discuss what brings you to counseling. Then we will make what I call a counseling GPS. This is a plan of how to get from where you are to where you want to be (through counseling).

There was a time in each of our lives, before hurt and fear took over, when our hearts were whole. For some of us, the pain is new and unfamiliar. For others, it’s been there as long as we can remember. For my clients, it’s something that they’ve decided to stop running from and to face it head-on. Whether you’re an individual picking up the pieces of a broken heart, or a couple or family trying to keep your world from falling apart, I’m ready to help you conquer your past. I can help you regain emotional control to breath and feel present and whole again.

Mental Health is Real. I believe in the importance of creating a safe space that empower clients to cultivate a new normal. Choosing the right therapist can be difficult, yet it makes a big difference in treatment. For 5 years, I have been a counseling in mental health field treating a variety of issues. In my practice, I believe every person is unique despite their sexuality, race, gender, or economic background. I am a holistic, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who uses an integrative approach to help my clients achieve long-term success.
