I want to start by saying that I truly hold a solid belief that each and every human deserves to feel happiness, love, excitement, contentment, and ultimately to achieve their dreams, desires, goals, and best-selves! I implement an integrative approach, with a craving to help. Whether that assistance be with an individual navigating ADHD, a person learning to cope with anxiety/depression, a couple for growth & change, entire family in need, I am devoted to seeking out and destroying the obstacles, strongholds, cognitive distortions, or whatever the “problem” is that is impeding their ability to live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.

My approach pulls from somatic practices, mindfulness, Parts Work (IFS-informed), and Attachment-Focused EMDR.
I’m a holistic therapist with eight years of experience helping people move through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and the messy work of rebuilding self-worth. My style isn’t about quick fixes or sugarcoating—it’s about getting honest, going deep, and learning to trust yourself again.
I work with people who feel a little “too much” or “not enough,” those who are burned out, cracked open, or just tired of pretending everything’s fine. We’ll tune into your body, listen to what it’s really trying to say, and work with the parts of you that’ve been carrying the weight for too long.

I often use somatic techniques, Cognitive-behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) techniques and psychoeducational; depending upon the need & presenting concerns, goals of the individual.
Hi! I am Stephanie, I can't wait to meet you to see if I am a good fit for you. If you're trying to picture a stereotypical therapist; throw it out the window. That isn't me. You are seeking help, I want to provide every resource possible to get you to a good place.
During our initial visit, we will work together to identify what you want to get out of us working together.
My goal is to build rapport with you to illustrate (what may be your first) healthy exchange between two people with clear boundaries (from the first hello to our final goodbye).
I will provide tools for you to carry with you the rest of your life.

I also take a somatic approach to help you understand how emotions and beliefs show up in your body.

Either way, I would love to work with you and teach you a variety of tools to use for finding the best version of yourself. I can help you sort through and understand complex emotions like anxiety, shame, guilt, despair, hopelessness, and lack of purpose. I will also help you look at your deepest core beliefs that drive much of what you experience in life and help you to learn how to change them.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
