My name is Aquino Chhong and I am a marriage and family therapist who believes in helping people to identify and work on the change they want. I am familiar with working with depression, anxiety, life stress, life transitions, trauma, and grief. I typically work with adult and adolescent individuals, with more experience in working with adults. I also have experience in providing family therapy.
My main approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with the belief that by people changing themselves, such as their approach and interactions with the people/world around them or their perspectives, their lives will in turn change.
Because opening up is difficult, I try my best to create a space where people feel safe to talk to me and know that although I am the therapist, I am not the expert on your life. I follow your pace in things, although I will gently push you when needed and be direct when needed.
