I am a Clinical Social Worker and have worked in a variety of different settings in the mental health field. I am a clinical psychologist who uses an orientation to treatment called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My area of expertise is such that I am equipped to work with clients struggling with a multitude of issues, such as depression, anxiety, anger. These emotional issues might be precipitated by stressors in the client's life, such as loss of a job, marital conflict, financial strain. Sometimes people feel unhappy or anxious, with no identifiable reason. By using an approach to treatment that actively helps to lessen negative feelings I aide people in living a more productive life.

Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

I am a Military veteran with 30 plus years of experience working with patients in psychiatric hospitals, state mental health facilities, Illinois Department of Corrections, and in private practice. I am currently licensed to practice in Illinois, Kansas and Georgia. I also provide Tele-health service to Military members overseas (OCONUS).

Cori has been working in the field since 1998. She received her Masters Degree from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003 and is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers. Cori uses a strength based approach with all her clients creating a safe and comforting environment. Cori sees clients in 3 office locations - Lake Zurich in Sandy Point Medical Center bear Rte 22, Palatine near Quentin Rd and Beuhler YMCA and in Barrington near Lake Cook Rd/Main St.

I have worked in the area of mental health for over thirty years: first as a special educator and then as a licensed clinical psychologist serving children, adults and couples from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. I am ecclectic in approach using elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is critical for change and that the work must be done in a setting of trust and mutual respect. My special interests include working with individuals and couples on relationship issues and problems related to self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.

We can all agree that at every age and stage of life we encounter hurdles. As we attempt to negotiate these hurdles they may bring about anxiety, depression, anger, academic and other school-related struggles, emotional struggles, trauma, eating disorders, self-harm (cutting), grief, executive functioning difficulties and self-esteem issues.
