I work with clients of all ages to define their goals for therapy. I work collaboratively with physicians, social workers, teachers etc., to implement the most effective treatment possible. I have experience in a variety of settings; residential treatment, guidance and counseling K-12, and outpatient mental health. I completed level 3 Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. I've been married 30 years, have 2 children, one with ADHD, and been a foster parent. I incorporate whatever spiritual beliefs my clients hold into their healing process. I have worked in the field of Mental Health Counseling for over 20 years and have extensive experience working with adults, families, adolescents and children. I received much of my clinical training and experience working in inpatient hospital, residential treatment and outpatient treatment settings. During that time I held a variety of professional positions, received quality supervision and completed my Masters Degree in Community Counseling.

My focus is on non-judgmental, positive personal strength and resilience in resolving conflict and trauma. I work extensively with individuals who have experienced trauma in their childhood and adult lives and subsequently live with residual traumatic stress disorders, anxiety, and depression. I also best assist people afflicted with mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder,and health problems e.g. chronic pain. A significant aspect of my practice is relational therapy; I find that marriage can be far more demanding than either partner. My goal is to live in the present intentionally, and happily.
