Everyday people are faced with a variety of life challenges such as anxiety, depression, loss, career decisions and relational issues. These challenges can be both expected and unexpected. We try to prepare for the trials of life but no matter how much we try, at times we may still feel unequipped. We all want to feel supported, heard, and ready to face all the experiences of life.
I have worked in various settings including inpatient and outpatient hospitals, counseling center, and online therapy. One of the therapeutic approaches used is Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and others based on the individual need of the client. It is important for me to provide people with empowerment and the support needed.
Deciding to seek help can be difficult and takes courage, but it can be satisfying to know that there is a person who is willing to provide a safe and non-judgmental space.
