Clients typically come to me because some area of their life is unsatisfactory or unfulfilling, whether it be their relationships, their job or their circumstances. If there is a lot of conflict or fighting in your relationships, you struggle with anxiety, or you're looking for more purpose and meaning in your life, therapy can help. I specialize in working with people who had difficult childhoods, are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, or are working to decrease symptoms from a traumatic situation.

I enjoy working helping couples who are looking to communicate more effectively in their relationships, and are looking for more closeness and understanding with their partner. I also specialize in working with helping professionals (anyone working in healthcare, mental health, education, wellness, etc.) to address burnout and compassion fatigue.

I use a collaborative and down-to-earth approach with my clients. We'll work together in creating a plan to decrease your feelings of overwhelm at work or in your relationships. If you're ready to feel more effective and at peace, I'd be happy to have a complimentary phone consultation with you.

April McAnally's Groups

Heart of the Empath: Group for Tenderhearted Women

This weekly interpersonal process group is specifically designed for women who identify as tenderhearted. It may be that you often feel that you are "too much" for others, or that you feel things more deeply than those around you. It can be a lonely experience, and one of our goals will be to facilitate the connection and awareness that so many tenderhearted women crave. We'll also explore ways to build on this strength of yours, and make it work for you in your relationships and outside life. For more information, visit www.aprilmcanally.com/groups
