We all have difficult experiences during our lives, such as loss, grief, expected&unexpected life changes, chronic health issues, loss of loved ones&addiction struggles. An added layer of daily difficulties may exist for those who are part of marginalized communities. As a trauma-informed therapist for over 10 years I have learned each person carries their own unique life experience. No one person is the same which is why I do not utilize a "one size fits all" therapeutic approach. I offer a safe space where I will organically utilize specific therapeutic approaches that work best for you to reach your desired therapeutic outcome.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization&Reprocessing), which is used to help address&heal the emotional distress that results from traumatic life events. However, EMDR is not my only therapeutic approach. I also offer Somatic therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy&Psychodynamic Therapy into my practice.
No matter what age you are, reaching out to a therapist can be an overwhelming process. This is why I offer a free 25 minute consultation. During the consultation, I always strive to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to share why you have reached out and for you to ask questions to help determine if we are a good fit.
