Starting therapy can be a challenge; digging into what you have been avoiding, looking inside yourself and acknowledging there are things you'd like to change, letting out past traumas and facing them so you can move forward. There is a saying in therapy that sometimes things get worse before they get better. This has to do with the need to face those things in order to process them. Now imagine them being better, finding relief, pride, balance, and confidence. Yes, therapy can be scary and hard, it can be difficult to start but when you get to the other side it's worth it.
My approach to therapy is client centered, non-judgemental, accepting, and challenging. I work with what you bring to therapy and the progress made is heavily related to your follow through. In me, you will find an open ear, a challenging perspective, an empathetic presence, and an accepting space. I specialize in trauma/PTSD, anxiety, and life transitions.
I believe laughter belongs in the therapeutic space to break up the heavy moments with ones that fill you up and remind you why you're putting in all this hard work. So, if you're ready to get started making those changes you've been thinking about, I would be honored to go on that journey with you.
