As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my primary obligation is to respect the integrity and to promote the welfare of my client. The objective of therapy is to establish therapeutic goals and implement a planned change in your life.
I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the client’s perspective and to develop solutions. Brief therapy, Solution-Focused, Reality therapy, EMDR, DBT, CBT techniques are used when applicable. Strategies are used which encourage self accountability.
