My name is April Edwards. I am a license African American clinical social worker with over 20+ years of experience. I specialize in working with individuals who are having challenges with anxiety and depressive related symptoms as well as assisting individuals with understanding their emotions, mood, and behavior. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing are the main two clinical interventions that will be used in our journey together. In the first session, the focus will be on building a rapport and understanding how your life may be different than before.
We will also go over the session policies, interventions used, and goal setting. It is important to me that you feel you are in a safe space. as if you are having a discussion within a safe space.
