About
There are times when life's challenges become overwhelming and it is hard to cope. This is when we need extra support, someone to talk to, sort things out and learn positive ways of coping. I offer a safe and supportive environment in which to identify and process your needs and move towards resolution. My approach to counseling is client centered, meaning I will meet you where you are and together we will move forward. You are not alone, I am here to help.
My specialty is substance abuse and related issues. While substance abuse is often primary, there are many underlying and related issues. This includes Stage 1 and Stage II recovery, relapse prevention, family relationships, grief and loss, self esteem, codependency, parenting, assertiveness and boundaries, along with trauma resolution.
Through innovative, dynamic and unique approaches, we will explore the issues and generate resolution. Using a unique blend of Cognitive Behavioral and experiential approaches such as EMDR, we will create a holistic approach to the healing of mind, body and spirit.
