I've built a rich foundation in understanding the complexities families face, from foster care and adoption to grief and blending families. My passion for supporting and equipping parents, along with my personal experience as a former educator and an adoptive parent, adds valuable perspective to my work. This combination of professional and personal insights undoubtedly enhances my ability to provide compassionate, effective support to those navigating challenging circumstances.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas. A master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University. In addition to my academic pursuits, I serve at a bereavement center, where I work with children and parents who are coping with the loss of a loved one.
One of my primary goals of counseling is to help you learn to completely love and accept yourself by practicing the skill of self-compassion. I believe that receiving unconditional love from God, yourself, and others will enable you to freely grow and facilitate lasting change.
