About
Throughout my training as a therapist there were two phrases that impacted my understanding of the therapy process: "You are the expert on the process and your client is the expert on their story, pain, thoughts, and feelings" & "The client is the key to their own success." With these two phrases I continuously reminded myself that I'm responsible for guiding my clients in the direction(s) that are beneficiary and to collaborate with them throughout the therapeutic process. My training was specifically geared toward individual counseling and addressing various challenges that can occur throughout life.
I do specialize in providing mental health services to victimized children and adolescents (6-19) and their non-offending family members. I also provide mental health services for individuals (working with an array of difficulties). I don't treat each client the same way and utilize an array of techniques to suit each individual, the best I can.
I have gone into private practice with my mother, a psychologist at One Day at a Time Counseling, and we utilize each other's knowledge and skills in order to better treat our clients. We make sure each family system is provided with the most beneficial services. If you want, visit my website to book online! I'm also offering a 30 minute consulation for $25.
