My understanding of the therapy process throughout my training as a therapist was guided by these two phrases: "You are the expert on the process and your client is the expert on their story" & "The client is the key to their own success." With these two phrases I continuously reminded myself that I'm responsible for guiding my clients in the direction(s) that are beneficiary and to collaborate with them throughout the therapeutic process. My training was specifically geared toward individual counseling and addressing various challenges that can occur throughout life.
I specialize in providing mental health services to victimized children (10-19) and their non-offending family members. I also provide mental health services for adult individuals (working with current and past traumas, grief, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation), perinatal work for those currently pregnant, postpartum, and early parenthood.
I don't treat each client the same way and utilize various techniques that best suit the goal(s) we're working towards.
