Taking steps toward change is not always easy. I believe we are capable of change given the opportunity and courage to do so. My approach is collaborative and I tailor my work to meet your needs, personality, and cultural factors. I believe in meeting people where they are at to help them heal, grow, and achieve the personal changes they want to make. My style is warm and approachable, and I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I use an integrative approach to therapy, with an emphasis on a relational psychodynamic approach. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, identity concerns, trauma, and relationship issues. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and emphasize a multicultural framework that embraces cultural humility, respect, and exploring salient identities.
I have worked with adults in community mental health, outpatient therapy, and university settings in the Grand Rapids area since 2014. I have specialized training and experience in psychological assessment, supervision of pre-licensed professionals, and group therapy.
