My counseling approach is based on the belief that everyone can benefit from support and listening. I strive to provide a warm and comfortable environment, making use of humor, silence, and empathy. Research shows that the best indicator of counseling success is the strength of the counseling relationship, and to that end, we will begin our work by building the relationship foundation together.
I bring an integrative approach to my counseling, primarily with person centered and narrative theories. I use mindfulness and psychoeducation techniques in sessions as applicable. With this underpinning my work, and your commitment to the counseling process, we will work together toward your goals.
I work with a wide range of individuals; adolescents and adults of all genders and cultural backgrounds. I have supported clients struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, stress, transitions, identity questions, and trauma. I look forward to hearing from you.
