My focus as a therapist is helping you understand and embrace your own identity and your own values. There is powerful strength in being yourself, and we can discover that strength together. My expertise is particularly in working with body image and eating disorders, with people who have or wish to be evaluated for autism and/or ADHD, with people experiencing self-injury or suicidal ideation, and with people who have "treatment-resistant" or severe anxiety and depression. I partner with patients who want to understand themselves on a deep level, while simultaneously offering concrete skills and tools to alleviate current symptoms.
I work with Body Positive NYC, a social-justice oriented practice focused on body image and eating disorders. My approach is psychodynamic, seeking to discover and heal root causes of each patient's experiences, bolstered by evidence-based symptom management skills such as DBT, somatic therapies, and AEDP. I offer patient-centered and trauma-informed care.
Thank you for taking the brave step of reaching out for mental health support. I know from my own lived experience how difficult this can be. I am looking forward to hearing from you and to getting to know you. I hope you'll send me a quick email or give me a call, and that I can help support you in your journey to a full and joyful life.
