Whether this is to alleviate symptoms of a mental health disorder, adjust to a life transition, explore reoccurring themes, improve self esteem or to simply increase the quality of life, my approach is rooted in a combination of authentic human connection and evidenced based practice. I am truly passionate about the work that I do and am committed to supporting my clients holistically both in and outside of sessions. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and trained in EMDR, ACT, CBT and others.
Because I believe that each person and journey is different, my approach to therapy is unique to each client. This may sometimes be a structured session in which we learn and practice skills to support the treatment plan we create together, or it may be an unstructured session in which we explore themes in a client's life.
I strongly believe in the importance of rapport between client and therapist and work to build a trusting relationship with all whom I work with. I am committed to standing alongside my clients as they embark on personal journeys towards understanding the self, healing trauma, reaching goals and improving their quality of life.
