As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I support families struggling with challenging behaviors at home or school. With over 28 years across clinical settings, I have extensive experience with children presenting with ADHD, behavioral diagnoses, anxiety, depression and ASD. My goal is to empower children and parents, by supporting the creation of lasting, positive change, through a combination of 1:1 counseling and parent coaching. My therapeutic model is solution focused, Cognitive-Behavioral and short term, where possible, with parent coaching based in a foundation of the Nurtured Heart Approach philosophy.
I see children of all ages, from preschool into adulthood. I have a passion for the most intense children and families. Combining cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoeducation and mindfulness, I work to support children onto a pathway of success and off of the downward trajectory of behavioral diagnoses.
Traditional parenting, "positive parenting" and behavior plans typically make problem behaviors worse for intense children. As a mother of 4 and therapist, I am passionate about supporting families. Through focused relationship and clarity, children move beyond "improvement" to transformation. I would be honored to start you on this journey.
