Hi! I'm Karen and I am here to help. Finding a counselor seems like an easy task, but it can be challenging. It's like trying to find that perfect shoe that fits you like a glove! That's where I come in. I am here to help you rediscover yourself, connect with others, and get on with life. I want to help you become the best version of YOU. I am here to help you realize that we all are going, have been, or will go through...something and it's going to be okay. Life is about learning and sometimes you will be faced with puzzles that aren't easily solved. Stick with it, stay the course, and we will figure it out...Together!
I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy(CBT), used in schools and for people with anxiety. I also have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing(EMDR), used for people with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, and PTSD. Both are research-based and have great success rates. I am relationship-driven and easy to talk to.
I am warm, fun, love to laugh, joyful, empathetic, thought-provoking, a great listener, and keenly insightful. I am here to help you muddle through the muck and find your way out. Life is hard, but you are divinely created and deserving of love. You will survive this and I'll help pick you up!
