As a counselor at Stewart Behavioral Health, I believe it's important for clients to feel that they are in a safe and non-judgmental environment, and as their counselor I strive to provide this type of atmosphere. Each treatment and session is tailored to the needs of the individual client and their presenting concerns. I allow the client to set the goals of therapy and help guide them if they need it. I have worked for Christian-based counseling agencies in the past, and if religion is important, this is something we can focus on. I also have experience with defiance, ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety and panic attacks.

Heart to Heart Empowerment Services, LLC was founded by Carisa M. Gerald, LPC, NCC in June 2019 and specializes in “Healing Hearts, Empowering Minds, and Restoring Relationships One Encounter at A Time.” I have provided Individual, Family, and Group Therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. I co-manage my practice with an M.D. and see all ages 2 - 80 years old. I studied exercise and nutrition and use this background to promote a healthy mind and body in my sessions.
