Every client is unique and presents with specific struggles. Some may have relationship issues, anxiety, depression, or past/present trauma. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual needs of the client. However with everyone that I work with, I strive to create a nonjudgmental, warm, and accepting environment so that my clients may feel safe. I have worked with a variety of individuals whose ages ranged from the teens to their 70’s in multiple settings that included a college counseling center, inpatient and outpatient community based mental health centers, and a correctional facility.
The issues that I am most experienced working with include anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relationship conflict. My belief is that psychotherapy is a collaboration between the client and the therapist where the goals are to alleviate suffering, to improve the client's quality of life, and to help the client reach their full potential.
