Through my experience in human services working w/ adults, adolescents, families and in corrections, for the past 20 years I have been fortunate enough to have worked with such diverse groups of people and individuals. I have a strong background & focus in trauma, substance abuse, grief & resiliency and my treatment is always Strengths-based.
"Mindfulness": a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. This is the basis of my practice. In addition, I use mindfulness as an underlying thread while utilizing other focused-based therapies, such as CBT; our thoughts create our reality
