Anxiety can be debilitating for many of us. It makes us uncomfortable and avoid things, and we end up not participating in life the way we want to. My approach is to teach you the necessary skills, so that anxiety does not drive your life. I use the most current evidence-based treatments for anxiety. The CBT skills you will learn in treatment with me are well researched and have been shown to help people with anxiety improve their lives. I have focused on treating anxiety using CBT techniques throughout my education, training, and career.
I provide state-of-the-art, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for a variety of anxiety and related disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, tic disorders, including Tourette's syndrome, trichotillomania, and skin picking.
In addition to my practice, I am the Director of the Adult Intensive CBT Program at MGH and staff psychologist in the OCD Program at MGH / Harvard Medical School. Prior to this, I worked at CARD, Boston University. To learn more, visit http://anxietycbt.wordpress.com
