Although seeking out therapy can be intimidating, I strongly believe it has the power to facilitate genuine change and growth. In my work with clients, I foster a collaborative and supportive relationship, focused on their uniqueness as individuals while also considering the context of their lives. My therapeutic approach is empathic, active, and strengths-based. I use an integrative perspective centered on cognitive behavioral techniques, direct feedback and humor to help clients reach their personal and professional goals.
I enjoy working with youth and adults dealing a range of clinical issues. I have experience in outpatient mental health clinics, private group practice, and in career and university settings. Some issues I have worked with include trauma, conflict, stress management, self-esteem, perfectionism, gender identity, and early adulthood transitions.
I can also assist with clarifying career goals, interpreting assessments, building self-efficacy, and facilitating long-term decision making. I can administer the MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, StrengthsFinder, and values/skills card sorts. I believe that professional and personal identities are undeniably intertwined.
