I specialize in working with trauma (especially C-PTSD) using EMDR, Ego State Therapy, and DBT. Issues addressed include self esteem and body image issues, relationship difficulties, parenting struggles, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, BPD, Anxiety, and Depression,. I have worked with a diverse client base and am comfortable treating clients of differing backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences. Because of my background in art therapy and my EMDR training, options for alternative approaches to therapy are available as appropriate and desired.
Most often the roots of trauma and mental illness stretch back to childhood. Effective and targeted treatment reduces symptoms and when you are ready, we are able to go back to heal those original traumas. My practice is client led, meaning that while it is my job to prepare you, ultimately you decide what is right for you and when you are ready.
