We all face challenges as we move through life. These challenges can be magnified when we repeat old ways of coping that originally helped us deal with difficult situations, but no longer serve us. At times, we may not even be aware of these habits at all. My job is to assist you in recognizing and understanding these outdated habits and in transforming them from automatic reactions into behaviors that are governed by conscious choices. Whether you are new to therapy or have had prior experience we will work together to meet your current challenges whether they revolve around work, relationships or both.
I view the therapeutic relationship as essential in understanding the difficulties experienced by the people with whom I work and I aim to create an environment in which my clients feel comfortable exploring their lives and the historical roots of their problems.
It is my belief that a good client-therapist relationship is crucial. It allows one to explore that which can be too painful or frightening to explore on one's own.
