I am passionate about helping individuals and couples discover when old ways of coping no longer work and replace them with new, more productive alternatives. I coach my clients to recognize problem patterns, effectively communicate their needs, relieve stress, and improve relationships with the important people in their lives.
My approach is grounded in research and synthesized from many years of experience. As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, I leverage the work of Dr. Brené Brown to help clients overcome shame and live with courage. In couples counseling, the research and methods of Dr. John Gottman, Dr. Sue Johnson (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) for Couples are employed.
Common client issues include anxiety, marriage/romantic relationship difficulties, life transitions such as recent move, job change or loss, birth of a child, depression, grief & loss, parenting issues, and others. I would be happy to speak with you over the phone to answer any questions.
