I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one. Together, we will work on the issues that may be holding you back from living a more fulfilling life. I use a compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach in which I seek to understand you and your life experiences. My graduate school training in art therapy confirmed my belief in the healing power of creativity. My first passion in therapy has always been working with eating disorders. I have 15 years' experience working in the field with adolescents and adults in hospital, residential, telehealth, and outpatient settings. Nowadays my specialties have expanded to trauma, LBGTQIA+, polyamory, people-pleasing issues, social justice issues, and veterans' experiences.
I've been told by former clients that I had an ability to "reach" them while they were in the midst of their darkest moments of their lives. I hope that my down-to-earth, collaborative, and creative way of doing therapy can reach you too.
