She has a BA in Liberal Studies with a Human Development emphasis from California State University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. Hishara is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples from diverse cultures. She uses a holistic, client-centered, cultural-oriented and strength-based perspective in her work. Hishara will also engage in animal assisted therapy with her "official" side-kick Lava, when it is therapeutically appropriate. She treats a wide range of individual and relational issues, meets people where they're at in their journey towards healing and works within their reality to help them recognize and build on their own strengths to face and overcome challenges.

Chris Saxon, M.A., LPC, LAC Chris' passion is helping people as they struggle with life choices, changes, and experience. Chris tailors therapy to meet clients' needs and offers cognitive behaviorial, existential, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches. .

Stepping out of your comfort zone can be a difficult experience. In order to grow we must take that leap. My role is to join individuals taking those risks and create a safe place to explore the possibilities. My approach can help people develop new insights into themselves by healing trauma and recognizing their inherent strengths. Using their own strengths people grow confidence to be their true self. I specialize in working with athletes, first responders, and survivors of disaster, but I am open to working with anyone wanting to improve their mental health and/or heal from their trauma.
