I specialize in helping people - just like you - struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, and relationship difficulties.
Feeling overwhelmed is all too common these days. Sometimes, uncomfortable thoughts and feelings even keep you up at night. You spend a lot of time trying to convince yourself that everything is "fine,” but deep down you know it's not true. Hoping all of this would just go away hasn't worked. Instead, you feel sad, isolated, and scared. If you're being honest with yourself, you know things won't improve unless you take action; but it's hard to imagine what would make a difference.

I feel especially capable to treat trauma, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, and major life transitions.
Currently accepting new clients! It takes tremendous courage to turn the spotlight inwards and work on ourselves. I consider it a genuine privilege to walk alongside people as we navigate their struggles and successes. It is why I have such deep respect for the people who walk through my door. If you are that person, know this: ALL of you is welcome here. Meaningful relationships are central to our well-being, just as much as water or air; however, they often are the source of intense pain. Our therapeutic work will be built on a foundation of trust, and focus on developing the relationships with yourself and others you deserve.

Want to feel heard? Do you feel down or anxious and want to feel better? Do you want to move forward and live the life you want? I can be the therapist to help you get there. We will work together to piece things back into place so you can move on, be the person you know you are. You are strong and you ready to take the next step forward because you are here today. We'll use your strength and courage to push through to meet your goals. Starting therapy is difficult and scary. As a therapist I know how hard it is to ask for help from others. I provide a safe and comfortable space for my patients. When you are ready, I'm here.

As an AuDHD therapist, I specialize in supporting adults with ADHD and high-masking Autism. Whether you suspect neurodivergence, received a recent diagnosis, or struggled long-term, I'm here to help you thrive in a world that suits you. You may be wary of therapy due to past negative experiences, as many therapists lack the knowledge to tackle ADHD, ASD, and disability intricacies, especially in adults. However, I am NOT your typical therapist. I believe in taking a more casual, non-traditional approach that prioritizes humor, authenticity, and genuine connection over showcasing my expertise.

Anxiety Therapists

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
