Lasting change requires accessing the whole body. The body's expression of feelings and emotions may conflict with what we "think" we believe or feel. A whole-person approach is a more present moment indicator of feelings, emotions and thoughts. I can help you learn to access that important mind/body connection. This approach will guide you towards a deeper understanding of yourself and help you to mindfully experience a more fulfilling and happier life.
I have extensive experience and training in psychodynamic talk therapy and mind/body techniques (EMDR & Sensorimotor Psychotherapy). I work with each couple and individual uniquely in orderto address each person's issues that emerge in treatment. I have found that integrating these skills provides an effective whole-person approach to healing emotional pain.
I believe that each person is unique and therefore has their own very specific point of view and understanding of themselves and their life. My goal is to understand each person's uniqueness as empathically as I can in order to make the kind of connection that will promote the best possible treatment relationship.
