Hello, My Name is Tony Resendiz, and I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. My approach is focused on building rapport and finding steps to assist Clients in meeting their therapeutic goals. Furthermore, I provide deep psychoeducation on the therapy process and the time used in between sessions. My areas of practice are anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and crisis prevention. My theoretical orientation is Psychoanalytic, but I also hold experience and use Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Short-Term Solution-focused, and integration of holistic approaches to therapy.
I like to create an environment in which Clients are able to express their needs and thoughts and work through the source of the problem. A place where Clients are able to understand the source of their Mental Health symptoms and develop the coping skills necessary for application when symptoms arise
During the first session, Clients should expect to set their goals for therapy, be provided with psychoeducation on the benefits of certain therapeutic interventions and use the time to develop rapport to ensure that the sessions will be beneficial for them.
