Hello, my name is Anthony Phan LMFT (BBS 113233). My approach to therapy is to facilitate an environment for you to process current life stressors and collaborate on therapeutic tools to decrease the intensity of these life stressors. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, internal family system therapy, and motivational interviewing modalities. I have worked with clients from various walks of life. The clients I work with the most in my practice are clients going through distress, grief, or current barriers to follow through with their life goals.
The clients that I am most comfortable treating are clients who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness (mania, major depression, severe anxiety, and psychosis).
I utilize a calm tone of voice and reflective listening to facilitate a session/environment for patients to process their thoughts/emotions throughout the session. To work with me, I would like patients to feel that they are being heard throughout the session.
