Life is a series of ups and downs, and it can sometimes feel lonely or isolative when we are faced with a situation that may feel daunting or insurmountable; when you arrive at Hopemark Health, our goal is for you to not feel alone when facing a difficult situation because that issue at hand will become our issue to navigate. In the guiding of therapy sessions, the focus will be upon prioritizing your goals and ensuring that we are utilizing the most effective tools and strategies to best support your goals and treatment needs.
With such differing ages and life experiences, I utilize various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices, but I find the use of a Person-Centered Approach to be the foundation of my practice.
In my opinion, therapy is most effective when the relationship between therapist and client is built upon the core values of trust, acceptance, respect, empathy, and authenticity. In upholding these values, I find that this creates a safe and supportive environment that allows for treatment to be a collaborative process between therapist and client.
