Empathy, compassion, and resilience are the core values that guide my practice. I specialize in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional and behavioral related difficulties. I have worked with this population for over 10 years and have had the opportunity to help young people in an array of settings. My experience as a clinical social worker ranges from working as a clinician on an inpatient psychiatric unit, providing in-home behavioral services, implementing counseling at a public high school and providing therapy and behavioral management at an intensive day treatment program.
I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Additionally, I have a strong background working with young adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, interpersonal deficits, and difficulties regulating their mood.
The most important pillar of my practice is simply "being human". I view therapy as a collaborative process between two people rather than an expert–patient relationship. Although I have clinical training, I believe meaningful change happens through authentic human connection; we will simply be two people working together.
