I have always been a helper. In the first grade my compassion got me into trouble for reassuring a classmate that the teacher wouldn't mind if he removed the tape over his mouth to eat his recess snack. Needless to say, she minded. In high school I was the "go to" person for friends who were having all sorts of relationship problems. This pattern continued through college. I guess it is no surprise that I now help people solve their problems for a living.
I graduated from George Mason University with an MA in Psychology and received my LPC in 1989.In my private office in Fairfax I am currently treating clients suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stressful work and school environments, relationship issues, marital problems and retirement issues.
I also provide premarital counseling for couples to identify any potential "land mines" along the marital path. I look forward to meeting each new client and getting to know them as they tell their story and share with me what they hope to accomplish. Together we can achieve these goals.
