My training as a social worker is centered around a strength-based and empowering approach. I serve adults (18 and older) who are struggling with challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship/life changes, a chronic health condition, grief and loss, and trauma. Non-appropriate referrals would include those currently struggling with significant substance misuse or would benefit from long term therapeutic care.
My belief is that each of us is the expert in our own lives. Our time is spent exploring the interplay of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while the practice of self-compassion serves as the backdrop. Modalities used include ACT, Mindfulness, and Psychoeducation. It would be an honor to hold the space as you come back home to the truest version of yourself.
