I have an integrative, mostly behavioral approach to treating individuals. I focus on radical self-acceptance, non-rumination when feelings stuck in difficult thought cycles, and understanding the nervous system habits in the process of healing and self-regulation. It is very important that the therapeutic relationship is the right fit for you in your journey to maintain balance and health.
I am trained in the Polyvagal Theory approach to nervous system understanding, EMDR and Prolonged Exposure for trauma intervention when appropriate, and Rumination-Focused Exposure Response Prevention for OCD/Anxiety. I use a combination of the above modalities along with traditional cognitive techniques, much depending on a clients needs.
