Most clients who reach out to me want to heal on a deeper level and have already tried many things, with varying degrees of success. Trauma is stored in the brain and body in a way that can't fully be treated through talking alone. Therefore, my approach to healing is based on the understanding that it must occur on a mind, body and soul level.
I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence based treatment for PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety and psychological symptoms stemming from painful experiences. EMDR can be done in an intensive format or incorporated into ongoing therapy sessions.
I have been dedicated to working with trauma survivors for 20+ years. I am driven by a deep passion for this work and a strong belief in the resiliency of the human spirit. My specialty area is interpersonal trauma, such as childhood abuse and neglect, childhood sexual abuse, attachment wounds and loss. I also offer therapeutic Trauma Focused Yoga classes.
I welcome a conversation to better understand your treatment needs, whether it be an EMDR intensive or EMDR as part of ongoing therapy. Clients interested in an EMDR Intensive are able to continue working with another therapist, who I collaborate with. I typically respond to email requests the day you reach out, but no longer than 48 hours on weekdays.
