I am scheduling new clients for March 2025, and I keep a wait list. I work with adults of all ages and children ages 13 and up. I have 17 years of experience doing therapy in school, community mental health, and private practice settings. I previously worked as a public school teacher and tutor. I have helped clients with a wide range of concerns, from problems adjusting to life changes to healing from adverse life experiences or traumatic experiences. I particularly enjoy helping women with anxiety. I adjust my therapy approach to the needs of each unique client, but I generally draw from CBT, Mindfulness, IFS and EMDR.
I help clients identify specific goals for therapy based on current concerns. I structure therapy sessions to support and track these goals. We will do a blend of problem-solving, exploration, and skill development. For some clients, I incorporate EMDR therapy into my sessions. EMDR therapy can help clients heal emotionally from painful life experiences.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. I can connect well with a wide variety of people. I incorporate humor into sessions as a tool for healing, where appropriate.
